Summer’s in session!

We made it through another school year! I don’t know about you but I am so ready to store away the backpacks and dance shoes and get ready for some fun in the sun!

I am so proud of my big girls this year. They made it through another not so “normal” school year with mask wearing, social distancing and at some times quarantining. Never complaining and just grateful to be in school and participate in all of their after school activities. Noelle went to Pre-K and joined her sister at a new dance school without missing a beat!

To celebrate their accomplishments and kick off summer, I have prepared these fun baskets with items that I have been collecting over the last couple of months. (Pro Tip: if you see it, get it because things sell out fast!)

What is in the basket?

The baskets I used are from Dollar Tree and I loved them because they are weather resistant and can be used for outdoor water play and to hold all of your water toys. I filled the basket with summer essentials like water balloons, bubble maker, shorts, sandals, lip gloss, play doh, tye dye kit, glow sticks and more! These are items that I plan on having the kids use to entertain themselves with all summer long.

To add a little extra fun to these baskets, I created these fun pennants. I am excited for you to snag them yourself for free here! Go ahead, print them out, glue them to a dowel and add any sort of ribbon. Use them to decorate your baskets or just for a summer kick off photo opp!
