Hot Cocoa Christmas Tree
As a girl mom, a pink Christmas tree is just a must have, right? I bought this adorable flocked pink tree last year and it has become my favorite thing to put up and decorate. So much so that it comes out for Halloween and stays up until Valentine’s Day.
Last year I made a bunch of whimsical and pretty ornaments, as well as adding some store bought. This year however I decided to go with a hot cocoa theme. Shockingly, hot cocoa ornaments aren’t really a thing, but I was excited for the challenge.
The first item I made was a gingerbread man garland. It was super easy to make and just required a few materials.
Here’s what you’ll need!
Materials:
Felt
Puffy Paint
Rope or ribbon
Hot Glue

Next up I made the hot cocoa cup ornaments. I had been seeing how some creators were using spackle to make “whipped cream” and I knew I just had to give it a try. I decided to keep the colors coordinating with the tree and my daughter’s room so I went with shades of pink & purple.
With some simple materials you can also make these delicious ornaments:
Materials:
Clear plastic cocktail cup
Paint
Pipe cleaners
Paper straws
Lightweight sparkle
Glitter optional
When I took a step back and looked at the tree, I thought something was missing. I had remembered those cute little marshmallow mugs I had seen all over social media that I decided to recreate for our cutie pink tree.
Materials:
Large white pom pom
White glitter paper
Felt
Ribbon

Don’t worry boy moms! You can also get in on the fun. Switch out the pink to brown for a traditional chocolate look and add to your little one’s tree!
